Abstract EN

this study aimed at establishing a suggested model to employ the hidden curriculum in strengthening the value system among students of higher education, and to explain how it is applied in the mathematics curriculum.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the analytical methodology and the descriptive survey methodology.

A questionnaire was used to survey the opinions of curriculum experts and teaching methods on the rationale for establishing the model, the sources of derivation of value objectives, the conditions and criteria to be met in the elements of the curriculum that contribute to strengthening the value system through the hidden curriculum.

The study tool was applied to a random sample of 110 specialists in the curricula and teaching methods.

The findings showed that establishing a model to employ the hidden curriculum in promoting values helps to contain its negative effects on students' behavior and enhance its positive effects, and the teaching practices and the way of dealing with knowledge and university textbooks, including messages, drawings or forms are one of the most important sources through which to derive the value objectives to be achieved by the hidden curriculum.

The study also reached a set of criteria and conditions that should be met in the elements of the curriculum in order to contribute in strengthening the value system through the hidden curriculum.

The study proposed a model for employing the hidden method in strengthening the value system, and showed how to apply it in mathematics curricula.
