English Abstract

The recent explosion of the World Wide Web and increasing interest from various multimedia fields has seen a concurrent significant elevation of the importance of digital images.

The increased requirements placed on efficient private image matching techniques in various applications interacting with reality have coincided with this.

Matching a particular image within extensive datasets has become increasingly pressing in many practical fields.

Hence, a number of matching methods have been developed when confidential images are used in image matching between a pair of security agencies, but they are limited by either search cost or search precision.

In this study, propose a privacy-preserving private image matching scheme between two parties where images are confidential, namely secure and efficient private image matching.

To retrieve images where feature vectors are extracted from the given query image where the similarities between the feature vectors of the query image and the feature vectors of the database images are calculated and the retrieval is performed with an indexing scheme and matching strategy to search the image database.

Here SURF algorithm is used to extract the features.

This thesis proposes a methodology for secured content based image retrieval based on SURF (Feature detector) algorithm, and Honey Encryption algorithm.

It can be deployed at untrusted public cloud with common interests effectively and securely.

In this study, we address the question of how to search for similar images between two parties in a privacy-preserving manner without losing image confidentiality.

The purpose of the encrypted database, which relies on image analysis by SURF (content-based search), is to provide accurate searching through encrypted documents without decryption.

Progress in this area helps protect the privacy of sensitive data stored on the cloud.

Experiments were conducted on real image collections to demonstrate the performance of the proposed methodology showed a good enhancement level in terms of: precision, recall, F-Measure, and execution time
