Abstract EN

This study aimed to reveal the reality of portfolio investment in the United Arab Emirates and availability requirements to attract and protect it, such as availability of a suitable investment climate and a stock exchange that allows foreigners to enter and provide protection for investors.

The study concluded that the UAE has been able to improve its attractiveness for portfolio investment in a short period of time, which explains the high percentage of foreign transactions to the total value of trading in securities markets, and recorded a positive net flow of portfolio investment over the study period
