Abstract EN

This article aims to investigate the factors that explain the incorporation of Algerian firms active in the industry sector with foreign firms, based on five main entries: the extrinsic environment represented in the industrial economy and the institutional framework, the costs including both theories of transaction costs and the agency, the resources theory and the link between them and the organizational learning theory.

Therefore, a questionnaire was conducted to include 51 active Algerian firms in this sector that has a wide range of partnerships with foreigners.

Results conclude that the Algerian firms are involved with international alliances to confront the uncertain economic environment and to collect resources and competences from its partners and, also, to achieve the organizational learning.
