Abstract EN

The objective of this paper Measuring the impact of economic policies on the convergence of the economic growth of the Maghreb and South East Asia (1990-2015), based on panel models and various economic convergence tests.

The results showed that there is no convergence σ and indicates the absence of absolute convergence, suggesting that convergence is conditional and not absolute as the new classical theory assumes.

The results showed that the conditional convergence of per capita output between the Maghreb and South East Asia Is running at a very slow annual rate (about 3.9%).

This is due to the poor performance of economic policies, so it may take more than 28 years to eliminate half the differences in living standards between these countries
