All praises to Allah, Who says in his Holy Quran: "And We have sent down to you the Book (the Qur'an) as an exposition of everything, a guidance, a mercy, and glad tidings for those who have submitted themselves (to Allah as Muslims)" (anNahl, 89).

And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Slave and His Messenger, he has rendered trusts, has conveyed His Messages and has advised the nation.

Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

The topic of this research is: (Brevity and Redundancy in Qur'anic stories and its relations to the objectives of Quranic chapters -Zakaria peace be upon him as an example-).

The topic of this research comes clear through stories mentioned in some Quranic chapters which characterized with brevity style and others characterized with redundancy style.

This matter inspires us to contemplate and speculate about the relationship of brevity and redundancy in Quranic stories to the objectives of Quranic chapters.

Research goals: - Once to demonstrate brevity style in Quranic stories and its relationship to the objectives of Quranic chapters and redundancy style as well.

- Underlining the approach of the Holy Quran in mentioning the stories frequently and the adequacy of these stories to the objective of chapter.

- To surrender and take a cautionary notice from Quranic stories alongside with the manifestation of its chapters' objectives.

The approach taken in research: Inductive & deductive approach.

Research plan: Research plan: The research consists of two subject matters each one has its claims then conclusion, as follows: The first subject matter: Brevity and Redundancy in Zakaria (Pbuh) story.

The first claim: The linguistic and terminological definition of brevity.

The second claim: The linguistic and terminological definition of redundancy.

The third claim: brevity and redundancy in Zakaria (Pbuh) story.

The second subject matter: The relationship of brevity and redundancy to the objectives of Quranic chapters.

The first claim: definition of the objectives of chapters.

The second claim: The relationship of brevity and redundancy in Zakaria (pbuh) story to the objectives of Quranic chapters.

Main outcomes: The objective and the goal of a chapter is a reason to once demonstrate the story in redundancy style in detail, and in brevity style at other time for shedding the light to the purpose in which story has mentioned and for the objectives and aims of the chapter.

Maim recommendations: Leading the scientific research towards taking chapters' objectives into consideration because it’s the keystone to understand the Holy Quran of Allah and to contemplate and enrich its meanings.
