Abstract EN

This study examined the efforts of Al-Tha'lebi (D.

429H) in Rhetoric throughout his compositions.

This study demonstrated that the compositions of Al-Tha'lebi are divided into two divisions: rhetorical compositions, multi-disciplinary compositions.

In view of such divisions, the chapter of the study are as follows: The first chapter explained his rhetorical efforts through his rhetorical compositions.

The second chapter examined his rhetorical efforts through the issues, arts and eloquence in other books.

The importance of this study is demonstrated in terms that the period of life of Al-Tha'lebi was precedent of the existence of the terminology of Rhetoric, so that is a science which have special principles, rules and compositions, ensuring that Al-Tha'lebi have correctly placed the history of rhetoric or the theoretical rhetoric.
