Abstract EN

Through this study we are exposed to the reality of the three Chadian kingdoms, namely, the Ouadai, Kanem-Bournou and Baguermi, from the foundation to the fall, exposed to the nature of governance and its rulers, and to the population and their economic activities, showing the importance of Chad's Lake, as we pointed out in our study to the factors lead to the decline of these kingdoms, especially Concerning the political side and the struggle for power, and the emergence of European ambitions in the region in the begining of 1819 where British and German geographers missions started to arrive to the region, France has exploited the findings of these geographical disclosures, especially after the discovery of the Chadian Lake in 04 February 1823, to start making plans for the occupation of the region, however benefited from the decisions of the Berlin conference and concluded marginal agreements with the British to settle the conflict between the parties in the region, and the official announcement of the plan to control Chad in 1890.
