Abstract EN

This research aims to evaluate the environmental impact of human activities on the coast of Jazan region, which is one of the major areas for the occurrence of fish and other marine organisms, producing approximately 45^of the total production of fish in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This has resulted in pressures induced by human along the coast line as indicated by the destruction and depletion of the natural coastal and marine environment and the elimination of some of marine organisms breeding as a result of reclamation, pollution and abuse of the beach in absence of and ignoring the objectives of sustainable development to meet the present needs without compromising the ability of the future needs.

This study depends on the descriptive geographical topics related to the studied area, the economic development projects, the determination of the polluted environment, and the spatial analysis methodology of the satellite images and the geological information systems, which are chosen as a target in this study.

The major finding of the present study indicate that human activities and development projects lacking environmental assessment at all levels to protect the coastal and marine environment and maintain it from any harmful and destructive environmental impacts.
