The free zones has long been considered to the world as stations of circulations of goods,.

without collecting taxes or customs., as well as many operations: storage and simple operations of tradings until re-exported again* such as the singapore region 1819.

these zones are usually located in ports and inside countries.

the aim of this applied study is to evaluate port said as a free trade city, to know the concrete situation of the free zone and its influence on the economies of the city, to identify the positive and passive aspects of stages of prosperity and decay of the free zone, and to examine opinions of people port said concerning the abolition of this free zone to achieve a god plan of the future to have a sustainable development of the city.

historical method, spatial analysis approach, and field study are very important for this research, and this latest study covered all research phases.

the important result to have a sustainable development, the city must depend in tourism, port services, fishing, commercial operations, and not to abolish the free zone.
