Abstract EN

This study exams the analysis of temporal and spatial variations of maximum daily and annual rainfall using data recorded during the period 1967-2005, in seven rainfall stations.

this period have been chosen because these stations are located in the west of Riyadh which is extend in an important urban area on lower drainage areas of the various tributaries of Wadi Hanifa in Particulary Wadi Namar, Wadi.

Laban and Wadi Mehdiya therefore, this study reviews the estimates of the maximum daily and annual rainfall that can produce a flood water with a direct impact on urban and residential areas in the west of Riyadh.

in this context, this study presents estimates of the maximum daily and annual rainfall of rainfall stations of Riyadh, Wadi Hanifa dam, sudus , chaqra , jabailah, huraymila and duruma.

accordingly, it is possible to benefit from the frequency analysis results of the of maximum daily and annual rainfall in estimating the discharge peak of the various tributaries of Wadi Hanifa bank in order to exploit the water resources of flood and determine the protection plans of the risks when they occur.
