Abstract EN

This study sought to design information graphics (info-graphics) to illustrate some of the prosody terms such as, vocal passages, stanza, poetic meter, al-Zahafat and al-Olal.

The researcher used the descriptive applied approach.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher created 16 designs.

Each of them included a number of icons, which included suitable texts, images, colors, and symbols for their design, and used the hammer, the tilted and round nails for their representation.

Each icon can serve as a visual, linguistic, and semantic illustration of each of the before mentioned terms, in addition to demonstrating their aesthetic significance and deriving their symbolism through visual reading.

The most important results of the study were: - Info-graphics help visualize prosody terms and contribute to the delivery of their aesthetic and artistic significance.

- Visual reading helps comprehend prosody and facilitates its teaching, due to its important role in deriving the concepts embedded in the info-graphics.

The researcher relied on info-graphics to highlight the visual and symbolic significance of the terms.

The study recommends the following: - The need for creating a visual dictionary that includes the literary terminology.

- The need for creating info-graphics designs for literary and scientific terms to create a visual definition for them, in addition to their linguistic and semantic definition.
