Plagiarism is an outrageous and immoral social phenomenon that has transformed into a critical phenomenon in ancient Arabic criticism.

A topic that was dealt with more than others in the 3rd and 4th centuries.

The term ‘plagiarism moved to the ancient Arabic criticism along with its pejorative connotation, and became an important term for the ancient Arab critics.

It was an arm used against any poet whose poetry reflected his being affected by other poets.

Plagiarism has been connected with Arabic poetry since ancient times, and all Arab critics or poets were aware about it.

This phenomenon appeared among poets at first and then moved to the critics.

Their opinions about it diverged: some supported the phenomenon and justified it whereas others rejected all the arguments and could not accept it.
