English Abstract

This study aims to identify the impact of strategic thinking on developing the human capital in the professional sports institutions in Jordan.
To achieve the purposes of the study, the researcher develops a questionnaire consisting of (53) items.
The population of the study included of all clubs' presidents, heads of departments, trainers who perform their duties in professional sports institutions in Jordan, the researcher used a comprehensive survey method through distribution of (122), returned of them (93) questionnaires, and the valid questionnaires for analysis were (70) questionnaires representing a responses rate of (57.4 %) of the study population.
The results showed that the levels of strategic thinking and human capital were at a high level in professional sports institutions in Jordan, and the results also showed that there was statistically significant impact at the level of (α= .0.05) of strategic thinking with its dimensions (future vision, holistic perspective, systemic thinking and smart opportunities) combined on human capital in professional sports institutions in Jordan.
The study recommends holding workshops and training programs on a continuous basis in professional sports institutions in Jordan according to an annual work program focusing on enhancing strategic thinking and explaining its various dimensions.
This should be accompanied by a clear position among high management to support this approach and provide material and moral incentives.
