أثر عجز الموازنة العامة على عجز الميزان التجاري في الجزائر : دراسة تحليلية قياسية 1980-2016

Abstract EN

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the government budget balance and balance trade of Algeria, in which its economy is based on oil, In this paper we use an annual data covering the period 1980-2016, also we focus on the theoretical side of the relationship between the two deficit which is explained by two hypotheses: the Ricardian equivalence and the Keynesian statement that confirm or not the relationship between the two deficits.

Given the characteristics of the national economy, this study shows that both the Ricardian equivalence hypothesis and the Keynesian proposition are not applicable in the oil economies, including the national economy, because of the impact of the oil revenues on government budget and trade balance, in the case of Algeria the oil taxes represent 60% of the government budget revenues, and also oil exports represent 96%.
