Abstract EN

The current study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of iPads in science achievement for the 3rd grade students in Sohar Governate.

Qusai- experiment method was used.

The study sample was consisted of (51) male and female in 3rd grade in AL-Ahd AL-zaher primary school.

They were distributed into two groups: experimental that consisted of (25) students were learned using iPads, and control group of (26) students were learned by traditional method.

Study material was a training program that was designed using interactive book and other applications in iPads, and was reviewed by specialists in science education and information technology.

Also, post-test exam was designed and applied on the two groups at the end of the experiment.

Findings showed that there was a significant statistical difference at (α ≤ 0.05) between the two groups' mean in favor of the experimental one.

So, the study recommended that it is important to support science teaching and learning by iPad during including science curriculum with interactive relevant activities, and holding workshops to qualify teachers to use iPads in their teaching procedures.
