Abstract EN

The kitchen is the most important areas and spaces in the home, a vacuum that the whole family frequents daily.

the housewife is often the person who deals with the kitchen directly.

the researcher made this study due to the mistakes that most of the housewives make when furnishing her kitchen, which makes the time spent in it bigger and the effort spent more.

therefore, the researcher conducted this study on the housewives of Iraqi women aged (20-40) graduates of intermediate studies and above.

as the current research aims to detect the errors that occur in the housewives, so the questionnaire was the tool that reveals the extent of experience and information of the sample of the research, including several questions directed at the sample of (200) housewives in Baghdad.

where these paragraphs included the disclosure of the correct location of kitchen furniture and sizes and the triangle of work and the type of lighting and colors that are preferred to be used within the kitchen space and kitchen forms, and through the analysis of sample answers on the paragraphs of the questionnaire found that a small percentage of housewives have no knowledge of the correct locations of furniture and sizes supported in kitchen blanks.

therefore, the researcher conducted this study where it recommended that; 1-awareness of the importance of knowing the correct locations for kitchen appliances and furniture.

2-to give the curriculum is essential to the design of kitchens across the stages of study in the subject of home economics.
