Abstract EN

This study have been included the evaluation of Ascorbic acid efficiency in the protection of wheat Crops from the infected by Aspergillus flavus which is isolated from different samples of wheat .

This study includes two experiments : first was included the use of cultural media by mixing with Ascorbic acid with different concentrations separately followed by A.

flavus treatments to exam its inhibition by Ascorbic acid, while second experiment involved the treatment of wheat seeds by Ascorbic acid then treated it by both A.

flavus and Ascorbic acid secondly finally treated by A.flavus only.

Outcome results indicated that the concentration value 0.5 g/L of Ascorbic acid which is mixed with culture media by (mixing with media) method has a complete growth inhibition ,while growth inhibition ratio had been dropped to 74% at the Ascorbic acid concentration value of 0.01 g/L.

Indicating that the using of high concentration of Ascorbic acid gave higher growth Inhibition ratio.

Results of storage experiment of wheat crops were showed the unaffected seeds which is treated with Ascorbic acid and A.flavus the infected ratio has been reached value of 24% as compare with contaminated seeds by A.flavus which is reached 89%.

This indicate that the use of Ascorbic acid set apart of protection to wheat crops form the infected by fungus with high ratio.
