Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify, the role of the teaching staff at the department of geography in stimulating the motivation of academic achievement, from the point of view of third stage students.

the sample consisted of (57) students, (34) males and (23) females from the third stage in the geography department college of basic education Duhok university, to achieve the aims of the research, aaquestionnaire prepared to measure the extent of application of teachers of the department of geography.

after it presents tooa group of experts in the competence of educational sciences and teaching methods, where the tool was formed from (38) sentences has been characterized by honesty and persistence, after data collection and statistical analysis using arithmetic mean and standard deviation, and the percentage test (t-test) for two independent samples, the researcher found the following results : 1 - the level of the teaching staff at thecdepartment of geography in stimulating the motivation of thier students was (% 85.6) from the point of view of males.

2 - the level of the teaching staff at the department of geography in stimulating the motivation of thier students was (% 81) from the point of view of females.
