Abstract EN

This research aims at studying the method of hearing from the Arabs in a book titled (the discipline of the language) authored by al-Azhari ( 370 a.h.), and to what extent it could be reliable given it is considered as the fundamental pillar in the language.

the research has reached that al-Azhari was giving a tremendous attention to hearing-based language adoption, particularly hearing from eloquent Arabs of desert.

the preface has discussed the hearing, collection and codification of language, eloquent language of Arabs in the Arabian peninsula, in addition to division of hearing into groups, then followed by four fields of research according to what has been reached.

the first field of research has tackled (hearing by al-Azhari) which divided into two parts; ((sources of hearing by al-Azhari)), and hearing from eloquent Arabs.

the second field of research has tackled (hearing is a criterion for words validity) which divided into two parts; hearing and documenting of words validity, and hearing is a criterion to prove the validity of words and their eloquence.

the third field of research has tackled (non- hearing is a criterion for invalidity) according to narrator credibility.

while the fourth field of research has tackled (hearing and al-Azhari lingual narratives), and divided into two parts; the first documentation the validity of the lingual narratives, and second hearing is a weighted criterion.
