Abstract EN

The present research aims at knowing : - 1-the vocational choice of preparatory students.

2-the statistical significant differences in vocational choice of preparatory students according to gender (male/ female).

3-self-esteem of preparatory students.

4-the statistical significant differences in self-esteem of preparatory students according to gender (male/ female).

5-the relational relationship between vocational choice and self-esteem.

the sample of the research consists of (200) male and female students from the preparatory stage.

the researchers have prepared a scale for measuring vocational choice depending on honalds' theory and adopted the scale of self-esteem of al-zeidi, (2009).

however, the researchers have ascertained the reliability and the discriminatory power of the two scales.

the results show that the sample has a significantly statistical vocational choice and self-esteem and there are no significant statistical differences between males and females.

finally, the researchers have put forward a number of recommendations and suggestions.
