Abstract EN

This research aims at diagnosing the actual situation of archives in our Ministry, on the basis of their management method, in order to make useful propositions that help enhancing the services provided by the archives department of ministry.We exposed, first, the various procedures of the archival chain : transfert, processing, conservation and access.

Then we presented the documentary, financial, human and material resources necessary for archives management.

For the purpose of reviewing the implementation of archives legislation and regulations, we carried out a field study in some archives departments of Algerian ministries , using an interview form to collect information.

This study showed that Ministries Archives in Algeria are far from the required standards
