Abstract EN

The production of electronic and electrical equipment is one of the fastest growing global industry .

This development has resulted in an increase of e-waste which contains hazardous constituents such as mercury, cadmium that may negatively impact the environment and effect human health .

This study tries to explore the negative impact of e-waste on public health and environment and the conclusion reached was in favour of the adoption of appropriate legislations dealing specifically with e-waste and the control of electronic waste dumping.
