Abstract EN
Values are the drivers of behavior, and religion is the repository of values.
Thus, religious values determine the patterns of the individual’s behavior and movements as a reference of judging her/ his actions and a frame to achieve the community cohesion.
However, the observation that attracts the attention is the contradiction between the values that stem from religion and the individual’s behavior were we find a separation between representations daily practices, beliefs and behaviors.
This led to emergence of some immoral and antithetical practices which contradict the Islamic religion teachings that sanctify the work as a form of worship.
The aim of the study is endeavoring to understand the reasons behind the contradiction between the individual’s religious beliefs and the daily practices, which gave rise to the following problematic: To what extent do religious values reflect on the individual’s labor behaviors in the Algerian society?* Do the Algerian worker’s representations of the religious values, indeed, manifest in her/ his professional practices within an establishment?
