English Abstract

The main objective of this study was to identify the challenges and impediments to the sustainability of scientific research and ways of developing it in the accounting departments of Palestinian universities.

To answer the questions and test the hypotheses of the study, the researchers relied on the inductive method, the deductive approach and the descriptive approach in clarifying and clarifying the theoretical aspect through previous studies and periodicals And the analysis of the results of the applied study and the testing of hypotheses using the statistical program (SPSS).

The questionnaire was distributed after being evaluated and judged by a number of specialists on the sample of the study composed of faculty members in the accounting departments in the Palestinian universities (40).

The results of the study also showed that the failure of faculty members in the accounting departments to reward their efforts and the results of their scientific research, with the low contribution of Palestinian universities to cover the costs of scientific research.

The study also recommended the need to overcome obstacles to researchers from faculty members in the accounting departments of Palestinian universities to attend conferences, forums and scientific seminars Arab and international scientific research
