The associated matter has an important role in preference among the evidences which appear ostensibly to be contradicted without the ability to join them with each other .

Preference is a function of the associated matters' functions, and it is a mark of their marks .The preferred associated matters are very abundant .

They take more forms than the forms mentioned by the source scholars in the preference chapter.

But it will be contented with some examples which clarify the purpose of this research without examining them thoroughly.

This will be done by two types : _The first type: Preference in the associated matters among the contradicted legal evidences .

_ The second type : Preference in the associated matters among the probable meanings of the one-legal evidence .

So , this is an important subject which pays attention to the importance of depending on the associated matters in preference.
