Abstract EN

The aim of this study was to evaluate the application of quality assurance and accreditation standards for the Union of Arab Universities at University of Nouakchott Elasria in the Islamic Republic of Mouritania.

The description approach was developed and the study scale was developed based on the Arab Union quality Assurance and Accreditation Model.

The questionnaire was used as a main tool for data collection.

The statistical packages (SPSS) were used to analyze the data.

The most important results of the study were the general application of these standards in terms of the views of the respondents of the faculty members and the administrative leadership.

The results also showed a statistically significant relationship between the independent variables of the study years of experience, type, specialization and training courses in the field of quality assurance of higher education and the dependent variables of the application of quality assurance and accreditation standards in the university in the two categories of study sample.

The recommendations were the most important of which is the need to strengthen the quality and training practices in the field of the university staff of administrators and academics and the need to establish an agency in the university concerned with quality and development and provide them with cadres qualified and trained in the field.
