Abstract EN

This paper analyzes the decentralization policies of the Egyptian governmental experience, which are adopted by the current executive authority through Egypt vision 2030 and the following two governmental programs on the election of the president of the republic within the two successive presidential periods under the 2014 constitution, the local administration seems to have obstacles to development, including a gap between legislation and local practice, the absence of local councils since the January 25 revolution, and weak local funding.

it is therefore necessary for the government to give greater attention to local administration, so that it can contribute to sustainable development.
