Abstract EN

The research aims at knowing the degree of geometric thinking of the adolescents, and knowing the significance of difference in geometric thinking according to age and gender.

and knowing the degree of creative thinking of the adolescents, and knowing the significance of difference in creative thinking according to age and gender.

The sample of this research consists of (150) male and female adolescents with ages (13,15,17) years, from secondary schools in Baghdad.

To achieve the aims of this research, The researcher used the geometric thinking test of (Van Hiele), and creative thinking test of (Touranc).

The results pointed the following: - Adolescents have a high level of geometric thinking.

- There are significant differences in geometric thinking according to age whereas the differences are not significant for gender and the interaction of (age*gender).

- Adolescents have a low level of geometric thinking.

- There are significant differences in creative thinking according to age whereas the differences are not significant for gender and the interaction of (age*gender).

-There are positive relationship between geometric thinking and geometric thinking.
