The research aims to identify the food situation in Iraq after 2014 because of its impact on the state policy and its impact on people's food security Therefore, the research was divided into three sections, the first of which focused on the concept of food security and its dimensions The second topic dealt with natural factors and focused more on the human factor because of the significant impact on state policy, the population of Iraq is increasing and the area of agricultural land is decreasing, which reflected on hunger and poverty, as well as dependence on abroad to pay the ration card as well as increased import and dumping the market and not Protection of agricultural production Wars and conflicts played their role after 2014 and in the absence of the governance structure necessary for institutional stability So the forth and last topic focused on the role of the state in building food security and concluded the conclusion that the state in Iraq is unable to achieve food security and a set of recommendations contribute to improve the food situation in Iraq
