This study sought to investigate the poetic image.

It included an introduction and revolved around two subject areas.

The introduction was concerned with investigating the poetic image in modern literary criticism despite the existence of multiple curricula the attempted to analyze the various texts.

The first subject area concerned itself with identifying the poetic image, its value and its function.

The second concerned itself with analyzing a sample of poetic models that clearly included poetic images.
