The study aimed to identify the quality of the academic life of deaf and hard of hearing students at KSU in light of some variables.
The study sample consisted of 176 students (69 males, 107 females) belonging to deaf and hard of hearing students, preparatory students, and Special Education Department.
The quality academic life scale (prepared by the researcher) was applied.
The findings of the study include the following: 1- There were statistically significant differences between the average of the scores of the deaf and hard of hearing students on the quality of academic life scale as regards the sex variable, in favor of male students.
2- There were no statistically significant differences between the average of the scores of the deaf and hard of hearing students on the quality of academic life scale as regards the category variable (deaf, hard of hearing).
3- There were statistically significant differences between the average of the scores of the deaf and hard of hearing students on the quality of academic life scale as regards the academic efficiency dimension, in favor of the lowest levels of students according to the academic level variable.
4- There were no statistically significant differences between the average of the scores of the deaf and hard of hearing students on the quality of academic life scale as regards the GPA variable.
5- There were statistically significant differences between the average of the scores of the deaf and hard of hearing students on the quality of academic life scale as regards the age variable in the first “academic efficiency” dimension, in favor of the youngest students category, whereas there were no statistically significant differences in the second and third dimensions as well as the total score of the scale.
