Abstract EN

The study aims at identifying the reality of evaluating student-teacher performance in practicum, Faculty of Education, Ibb University, and propose a guide for that purpose.

The researchers adopt the descriptive and analytical approach to achieve the objectives of the study.

The study concludes that the present guide suffers from weakness in objectivity, and there is no diversity in evaluation tools.

It only depends on the supervisor allotting (90%) of the marks to him/her.

Therefore, the researchers propose a guide for evaluating the performance of the student-teacher in practicum.

The proposed guide consists of a group of instruments (supervisor’s note-card, cooperative teacher’s notecard, school principal’s note-card, student-teacher’s self-evaluation note-card, attendance form, and evaluation summary form).

The study recommends the application of evaluation proposal by those in charge of practicum, and call for a symposium on how to implement the proposed guide.
