Abstract EN

The study problem stemmed from the fact that agricultural production cost had been ignored when determining the incentive price for sesame crop in Gadarif State rain-fed schemes.

The study aimed to identify the role of information about the agricultural production cost in determining appropriate incentive prices.

The study adopted the descriptive analytical approach in describing and analyzing its data.

The study findings indicated that consideration of all elements of agricultural production cost will have an important role in determining a suitable incentive price for sesame crop in Gadarif state.

The study calls for considering the cost of finance and Zakat when determining the incentive prices for sesame; also, the state should help the producers to own advanced agricultural machines to minimize labor cost, which represents the higher cost in agricultural production.
