Arabic Abstract

The objective of the present study was to identify the obstacles to the inclusion of the computer in the lower elementary stage in the public schools in Jordan.

The descriptive approach and the analytical method were used to answer the study questions.

To achieve the objectives of the study and answer the questions, the researcher prepared research tools.

the first was a questionnaire consisting of (33), While the second tool was a structured interview consisting of (6) questions.

The research tools were applied to the study sample which consisted of (300) teachers from the primary stage teachers in Jerash governorate as well as a number of decision makers in the Jordanian Ministry of Education (Curriculum and textbooks management).

After collecting the data and conducting the statistical analysis, the study reached a number of results.

The most important of these were the existence of a number of obstacles that prevent the inclusion of the computer curriculum in the basic stage of the public schools in Jordan, These are physical and technical constraints, administrative constraints and obstacles to students themselves, The study also found that there were statistically significant differences between the average responses of the sample of the sample in their estimates of the obstacles to the inclusion of the computer subject for the lower elementary stage in the public schools in Jordan due to the gender variable and for the benefit of the males and the change of experience in favor of teachers whose service is less than (5) There were no statistically significant differences due to the variable of scientific qualification for all fields except for the field of obstacles related to students.

The differences were in favor of teachers who hold a diploma degree compared with teachers who hold a bachelor's degree.

Their interests are: Integrating computer skills in science and math disciplines into the basic stage, and gradually integrating computer subjects into the lower stages where we start with the sixth grade, then the fifth, and so on, down to the lower grades
