The general search engines are the most important means of obtaining information through the Internet.

For the Internet user, it is enough to enter the search query in the field dedicated to search on the search engine page to get links to related websites.

Google has dominated the general search services in most parts of the world after “Google” search engine became the giant of search engines.

This domination raised several questions about its impact on the competition process in the general search services market.

It also raised the question whether Google’s behavior in this market constitutes violations of competition rules, which exposed Google to many accusations about its monopoly of this market in the USA, Europe and many countries of the world.

In this research, I tried to highlight Google’s practices in the search engine market, and the points of view about these practices in both the USA and Europe, trying to bring down the provisions of the UAE Competition Law and the Syrian Competition and Antitrust Law on these practices.
