Abstract EN

This study aims at finding alternatives to the hydrocarbon sector in the Algerian economy, which is dependent on fluctuations in oil prices in the international markets.

This is due to the great dependence of the national economy on the revenues of hydrocarbons.

In this study, four sectors were analyzed: the agriculture sector, the renewable energies, the small and medium enterprises and the tourism sector, which were studied and analyzed.

Based on the data available from various national and international entities , opportunities, threats , strengths And the weakness for each alternative , and using the "SWOT" matrix ; It has been found that the agriculture and small and medium enterprises are the ideal alternative for the oil sector in Algeria while tourism sector despite the great potential of Algeria, but it still suffers from several weaknesses that must be tackled , the study showed that the renewable energies sector could be a good alternative for the hydrocarbon sector but in the long term.
