Abstract EN

This study aims at identifying the role of business incubators in supporting and promoting innovation in Algerian SMEs.

It attempts to answer the following problematic: What is the role of business incubators in promoting innovation in the Algerian SME? and it’s based on the descriptive analytical approach.

It was concluded that Algeria was still lagging behind in spite of the interest it attaches to the SME sector and its modest experience with business incubators, and that the public authorities have not yet succeeded in promoting R&D and innovation in this sector.

Therefore, creating the conditions for the establishment of such incubators will greatly help Algerian SMEs to innovate and compete in markets, thus contributing to technological development and advancing economic and social development, Along the lines of several advanced and emerging States.
