Abstract EN

This study aims to test the hypothesis of expansionary austerity on unemployment and inflation in the Egyptian economy.

Multiple regression models were used to measure the impact of expansionary austerity on these variables after ensuring the stability of time series.

The results of the study found that the effectiveness of fiscal austerity fundamentals in the treatment of unemployment depends on the type of tool.

Where government spending refers to the ineffectiveness of austerity policies in the treatment of unemployment, while taxes indicate the effectiveness of austerity policies in the treatment of unemployment, assuming the use of taxes to finance government spending on infrastructure, which leads to the use of employing more labor, as the results of the study to the effectiveness of policies Austerity in the treatment of inflation.
