Abstract EN

The study aimed to find out the relationship between future anxiety and self-efficacy among a sample of El Oued university students.

This study used the descriptive method correlative and comparative designs.

The study sample composed of (449) students from the scientific and literary disciplines for the academic year (2016-2017).

The study sample was selected in random stratified sampling and it used the Future Anxiety Scale (Al-Mashikhi, 2009) and the Self-efficacy Scale (prepared by the researcher, 2016).

The study concluded to following results: - There was a significant correlation between future anxiety scores and self-efficacy scores in the study sample.

- There were statistically significant differences in future anxiety scores according to the levels of self - efficacy (high - low) in the study sample.

- There were no statistically significant differences in future anxiety scores according to the discipline (scientific - literary) in the study sample.
