Abstract EN
Under the leadership of President George Bush (2001 - 2009), the American United States fought the political Islam groups in Afghanistan, particularly Al-Qaeda and Taliban and their affiliated groups.
The American war on these groups was an act of revenge for the September 11 attacks.
It is worth mentioning that the United States did not confine itself to military force but it also offered rewards for information leading to the arrest of the members of these groups.
Sometimes, it resorted to the negotiation table with the moderate members of the Taliban.
During these confrontations the American United States has committed numerous violations and breaches of which the most notable is "Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp" where the United States has invented new ways of investigating and torturing these extremist groups.
The American war was at its most intense until 2008; this year witnessed the end of the orientations of Bush's Conservative administration which was obviously marked by its fierce war against extremist political Islam groups.
