This paper deals with the analysis of the environmental problems of gravel and sand quarries in the road between AinTouta and Batna and its impact on improving the environmental dimension of sustainable development The sample of the study, consisted of households living near these quarries.

The study reached a number of important results, including the fact that the activity of these quarries is destructive to the surrounding environment.

And their neglection to this fact from one hand.

And the lack of awareness of people living in the area to their rights concerning the duties of institutions to maintain the environment protection from another hand.
