Abstract EN

This paper tackles a very important subject in the area of contemporary criticism represented in the theory of the receiver and interpretation that occupies the largest space in the contemporary criticism.

This theory that showed up as an echo for the literary, intellectual and social developments in Europe; which is concerned with the reader and the extent of his response to the text whether in reading, understanding and interpretation, which appeared after all the interest was either on the author or the text itself in the western critical theories.

The recipient in the rhetorical Arabic classic criticism theory had been spotlighted in the first place, and received great attention in all what the rhetoric and Arab critics showed in their analysis of the text and the speech.

This is what the contemporary western theories turned to in the Reception Theory which had the beginning of its appearance with the ideas of the German theorist Jauss, his goal was to develop a theory that would guarantee the literature its specificity and standard future dimensions, a theory that transcends all sectarian algebraic stress, the visions and concepts that Jauss came up with were through his focus on reviewing the previous theories and hypotheses that concerned the recipient as a basis in the literary process and artistic production
