Abstract EN

This research aims at identifying the extent to which the teachers of the Arabic language are applying student-based learning and teaching method from the point of view of the principals in the Karak schools.

The sample of the study consisted of 299 school principals in Karak governorate.

A self-completed questionnaire was developed with three main domains and (39) items.

The results showed that the teachers are applying the student-based teaching and learning method with medium average.

The results revealed that the domain of methods and activities came in the first rank, followed by the skills related to the preparation of the lesson, finally, the skills related to evaluation and closure of the lesson occupied the last rank.

In addition, results showed no statistical significant differences that can be attributed to any of the study variables or the interaction between or among these variables.

Based on the results of the study, it was recommended to encourage and strengthen the teachers application of the student-based teaching and learning methodology.
