Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the role of sport in internal political services as perceived by postgraduate students at Yarmouk University.

Descriptive analytical approach was used for the purposes of this study.

A questionnaire that consisted of 30 items was distributed among the following three domains: a relation between sport and politics (11 items), applying sport in internal political affairs (11 items), and sport for political decisions (8 items) was given to 167 (n=167) male and female postgraduate students at Yarmouk University.

The participants were selected using a comprehensive inventory method.

According to the study results the role of sport in internal political services is considered to be high.

Moreover, significant differences exist regarding the role of sport in internal political services according to the study field in the favor of physical education.

This study recommended investing sport, athletes, and sports organizations for internal political services of the country
