Abstract EN

The current study aimed to constructing a scale of counselling professional competencies among students Teachers of Special Education Department and verifying its psychometric characteristics.

To achieve the aim of the study the researcher has subtracts open question on a group of experts in the field by teaching authority members who are specialized in mental health, psychology and special education to determine counselling professional competencies that are necessary for students teachers in special education department and their responses on the question in building the primitive picture for the scale which contained of 30 items that distribution on (5) dimensions every dimension has (6) Items.

This scale is applied on (188) students teachers from special education department faculty of education Jazan university are chosen by random according to psychomotor characteristics for the scale, the results are explained the validity for all the scale items where the relation coefficient to every item is about to every dimension that belongs to it the degree between (0.361), (0.793) there were statistically significant at 0.01.

The result explained achieving the construct validity where its items for five factors on the range (4.960), (4.941), (3.096),(2.935) (1.808) and we don't omit any item of it of the scale because it has acceptable values statistical on the scale factors so the scale in its final picture it contained of 30 Items, where the reliability is achieved by a high coefficient Its value 0.934 through Alfa way and 0.86 by half fragmentation, thus validity and reliability are achieving of the scale.

the results have been argued and presented recommendations for the following study.
