Abstract EN

The research aims to identify the degree of practicing the counseling educational and psychological tasks by the social working in public schools in Sana’a City The It also aims to identify the other duties and tasks counseling by the social workers, nevertheless these tasks are not of their jobs.

The sample (80)social workers(17)males and(63)females.means used for this questionnaire is (counseling tasks composed questionnaire consisting of (19) tasks; another questionnaire used neither for tasks nor f counseling or specialized tasks which composed of (7) tasks.

The most important results the research has approached is this - all the social have practiced the counseling tasks at a slightly higher degree than the total amount used for measuring these tasks; from those counseling -tasks practiced mostly are; encouraging and stimulating the students to love their country and following the Islamic law disciplines-as the results proved that females are much better than males, also there is no remarkable variety which has a statistical indicator related to the variety of the district.On the other hand,to identify the percentage of tasks and duties which have been practiced by these social, yet these tasks are not parts of their jobs.

The results proved that all the social workers have tasks and duties which are not parts of their specializations or even related to the scope of their jobs at the median degree; the most preformed tasks and duties of non counseling are; ask the students to clean the halls and yards of the school; monitoring the attendant sheet and report that to the administration.

There is no variety which has statistical indicator at the variety of gender, but there are varieties which have statistical indicators at the variety of the district and for the benefit of Bany AL Harith district which and for the benefit of the district of Bany AL hareth in which the non counsel tasks and duties have been preformed mostly rather than the districts of Al Tahreer and Sha’aub
