This paper aims to discuss one of the most recurring concepts, of the last few decades, penetrating the theoretical and empiric scope, i.e.
participatory democracy.
The concept of participatory democracy would allow the citizen to participate effectively in the management of public issues.
Additionally, this paper will further examine the historical context surrounding the inception of participatory democracy and its pillars.
Furthermore, this study will analyze the status of participatory democracy, in the constitutional revision of March 2016.
