Democracy is considered a parameter of development of a country, on all levels: political, economical and social, based on the postulate that political success leads to success in other areas.

In order to discuss the democratic dimension of Algeria, one has to study the theoretical and philosophical aspects of democracy, and subsequently their application in the Algerian constitutions.
