Abstract EN

The oil market has become in recent years more volatile risking the oil-exporting countries’ internal and external financial balances to serious imbalances, which in turn threaten their economic development process.

To confront those challenges, those countries including Algena have to find alternatives which enable them to diversify their economies and exit from the excessive oil dependency.

The aim of tins paper is to explore the potential alternatives that can enable Algena to diversify its economy and achieve the desired take-off.

Among those alternatives is to promote the benefit from the existing Arab economic integration institutions and bodies, in view of the advantages that the integration can offer to Arab countries to explore the human and natural resources and promote intra-trade and investment.
